One interesting fact is that the first Grand theft auto to be fully 3d modeled was grand theft auto 3 before that it was a 2d top view that looked 3d or sometimes had a little 3d rendering. after Gta 3 there was Gta vice city which most people deem there favorite this one was slightly smaller than the rest but at the same time being better and more fun to explore and do missions then came one of the biggest and most fun and enjoyable ones Grand theft auto San Andreas it was a really big game for its time lots of hidden things easter eggs, and side things to do like parachuteing flying a plane swimming ext, if you don't know what a easter egg is in a video game here is the definition "An Easter egg is an intentional inside joke, a hidden message, or a secret feature of an interactive work (often, a computer program, video game or DVD menu screen)" And Gta San andreas is home to many many Easter eggs after this was Gta 4 it is smaller than Gta san andreas but has a newer engine the Euphoria engine meaning gta has a lot more physics than all the other ones before it like ragdoll,car dents,realistic object movement and other things. Gta 4 was in the same city as Gta 3 liberty city a reincarnation of New york city and gta 4 has a more real New york city than gta 3 after Gta 4 was Gta 5, Gta 5 used the same engine as Gta 4 but used it more effectively gta 5 is the biggest out of the Gta franchise and the best with everything san andreas has and more you can do things like vehicle vendetta online or slasher were you be the slasher or hide from the slasher there is tons of community made things online and rockstar made things online if you ever get bored of the story mode.
